Price of tinned Italian tomatoes will rise after Anti-Dumping Commissions ruling
SHOPPERS will notice the price of Italian canned tomatoes rise after an anti-dumping duty determination. The Anti-Dumping Commission has outlined Italian tomato dumping margins and interim dumping duty ranging from 3.25 per cent to 25.35 per cent on companies exporting product to Australia. It comes after the commission reported in March that dumped tinned tomatoes
SPC recruiting tomato growers to triple production
SPC Ardmona says it is back in the market and approaching processing tomato growers to supply them from next season. Tomatoes were processed under contract for the food processor by Kagome Australia, at Echuca in northern Victoria, but SPC will now go it alone and take production in house at Shepparton.
